• As a Professional Services Consultant (PSC) you will provide deployment, configuration, and operational services for our customers relating to Palo Alto Networks products. You will function as the Palo Alto Networks technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) teaming with a Project Manager to interact directly with the customer's project team to facilitate the consumption and adoption of our products and capabilities. During the execution of each project you will also utilize soft skills to guide the customer to make decisions on how to use our products in a way consistent with our best practices and make them more secure.

Your Impact
• Ensure client needs are met and deliverables produced on time according to specified Project deliverables/scope.
• Assist the customer to deploy, optimize and operationalize our NGFW security solutions into their networks.
• Provide guidance to our customers on how to integrate our products into their operational workflows and networks following best practice based methodologies.
• Proactively identify and communicate project status, risks and issues with the Professional Services Project Manager.
• Interact with the Palo Alto Networks TAC to troubleshoot and diagnose support cases.
• Ability to document and template necessary documentation packages for customers as defined.
• Ability to work on a team or lead a team depending upon the specified Project.
• Ability to provide complex solutions in customer environments and execute/document said solutions by self or as a team leader.
• Other tasks and duties as needed to support the customer and/or business.

Your Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' experience with enterprise security products, solutions, and technologies
• Minimum 3 years' experience managing security solutions in large environments.
• Strong knowledge of the enterprise security threat landscape.
• Strong understanding of Internet protocols and applications
• Detailed technical experience in the deployment, configuration, troubleshooting and operations of high end firewall appliances, ideally Palo Alto Networks products.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verballys..
• Aptitude to effectively juggle and manage many different tasks simultaneously

Additional Skills:

• MS Project or similar tools.
• Scripting experience - Python, Bash.
• Demonstrated project leadership skill.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, CNSE, JNCIE-SEC
• BS in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent education/training/experience

• Your Impact
  • Engineer (4+ years' experience) in professional services or similar function with BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent background.
  • Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances - Strong understanding of LAN and WAN networking protocols and technologies, including switching, routing, firewalls and security solutions.
  • Strong TCP/IP networking skills.
  • Experience working with Remote Access VPN solutions, IPSEC, PKI & SSL, TCP/IP, Authentication Protocols (LDAP, RADIUS, SAML, etc.)
  • Experience working with URL filtering - Experience working with Proxy and SSL Decryption.
  • Experience working with Windows and MAC OS including(debugging, editing Windows Registries, Plist, etc.).
  • Experience with one or more of these vendors: Palo Alto Networks NGFW, Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, (Netscreen), Fortinet products, Symantec/ Blue Coat, Zscaler
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to use tools like tcpdump & Wireshark.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with confirmed ability to communicate to senior leaders and technical peers.
  • Possess one of more of the following industry certifications: PCNSE, CCNA/CCNP/CCIE.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a cross functional environment which involves coordination with different teams such as Sales/Pre Sales/Product Management/Engineering.
  • Attention to details, fast learner and excellent communication skills. Be able to communicate technical information in a simplified, easy to understand manner.
  • Project leadership experience; ability to drive organizations and resources to complete required tasks in service of end goals.

  Good to Have:

  • Experience with Prisma Access
  • Experience with public clouds like AWS/GCP/Azure
  • Scripting and automation development experience

  Technical Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least five years of technical experience in IT and Networking environments (Service Providers & Enterprise).
  • Technical design, support and implementation experience on routing and switching platforms.
  • Knowledge of basic layer 2 technologies such as LACP, Vlan Bridging, QinQ and STP.
  • Knowledge on MPLS transported services, IGPs and BGP protocols.
  • Knowledge about Data Center architectures and technologies such as IP Fabric, EVPN and VXLAN.
  • Knowledge about cloud virtualization environments (VMware, AWS, GCP, Azure)..
  • Knowledge about Dual-Stack technologies and CGNAT Applications.
  • Knowledge on Security technologies such as ADC, NAT, WAF, IPS, IDS, Anti-DDOS.
  • Knowledge about automation and scripting in python programming..
  • Fluent English.

  Desirable Certifications:

  • Routing & Switching: CCNA/CCNP/JNCIS/JNCIP (Equivalent).
  • Cloud Environments: VCP-NV/VCP-DCV/GCP Professional Engineer/Architect.
  • Traffic flow control: A10 Sysadmin/A10 ADC/A10 CGN/A10 SSLi/A10 TPS.
  • Security: PCNSE/PCCSE/PCSAE.
